Installation
Align, slide and crimp.
The bar is not cut, threaded or heated: it keeps its full cross-section and properties.

Why hybrid?
A high-strength steel sleeve with an inner polymer layer. When crimped, the polymer seals the splice and keeps water out.

What engineers ask.
Which bar sizes are available?
For #6, #8, #10 and #12 rebar (19.0 to 38.1 mm).
Does the bar need preparation?
No. It is not saw-cut square, threaded or heated: you just align the bars, slide on the coupler and crimp.
What equipment is needed?
The G7K crimping tool: portable, 110 V, with dies for each bar size. It works in vertical or horizontal position.
How is the splice inspected?
Visually: crimping leaves a visible mark on the coupler.
Where can Type 1 be used?
Location requirements are set by the applicable code (ACI 318, NTC-CDMX) and defined by the structural engineer. If the project requires developing the tensile strength of the bar, use Type 2.
